Candidates’ Profile

Khawaja Mohammad Jawed, a legendary businessman, is the Chairman / executive director of the Company and is widely respected in the business community for his wisdom and vision. He has more than 40 years’ experience in the textile spinning, weaving, cement, polyester and banking sectors. His role in the company is mainly to give strategic direction and take policy decisions. He is also a member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the HR & Remuneration Committee of the board of the company.

Khawaja Kaleem serves in the capacity of executive director on the Board of the Company, with more than 35 years’ diversified experience in various business and industry sectors including Textile Spinning, Cement and Fiber industries. He is energetically involved in the implementation of the company policies and monitors the performance of all group companies.

He has more than 35 years’ diversified experience in business and industry, especially fiber and Textile Spinning. He has led the company in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer since 2004 and is an executive director of the company. He is also a member of the HR & Remuneration Committee of the board of the company.

He serves as a non-executive director on the Board of the Company. He has more than 35 years’ rich business and industry experience, especially in the cement, fiber and textile industries, and is also a renowned participant in many social and welfare activities. He is a member of the HR & Remuneration Committee of the board of the company.

Mr. Nadeem completed his business graduation in the USA and is on the board of the company as a non-executive director. With more than 20 years’ experience in the spinning and weaving textile sectors, he is mainly involved in routine business operations including production, marketing and finance activities of Yousaf Weaving Mills Limited (a sister concern of the company), where he holds the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Naveed graduated from a reputed institution in the USA. He has vast business experience of more than 15 years in the Fibers, Textile Spinning, Cement and banking sectors. He is the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the board and is also Chief Executive Officer and executive director of M/s Kohinoor Spinning Limited (a sister concern of the company).

Mr. Sufi is an independent director of the company in accordance with the requirements of the Code of Corporate Governance. He has sufficient experience in textile spinning, particularly in the area of store inventory management. Therefore, we have high expectations of him and expect him to become an intangible asset of the company in the near future.

He completed his Masters in Marketing and Strategy in the United Kingdom and, with additional negotiation skills, markets the product well. Mr. Mohammad Hamza Yousaf has also completed the directors’ training program from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, duly approved by the SECP as required in terms of the Code of Corporate Governance.
